How do I make an appointment?

By using the website´s contact form, by calling or emailing me at flavio@flavioepstein.com. Before working with new clients, I conduct a free phone appointment to find out about your needs and to assess our match. The first two sessions are generally used to assess goals and match. If it turns out that I cannot help you, I will make my best effort to refer you to a colleague who may be able to.

How much is a session?

The session fee is based on your financial ability, and discussed at the start of the psychotherapy services.

How long would I have to wait for an appointment?

The wait period for an in-office session is less than a week.

Do you accept insurance?

I accept MBWay, PayPal, and Venmo. I do not take insurance at this time, however I recommend that you check with your insurance carrier if there is coverage for out-of-network providers, as some Portuguese, European and American insurance carriers offer that option.

How often should you be seen?

Together, we will decide what frequency makes sense for your needs. In general, once a week or twice a month are working patterns. But we could also work on an as needed basis.

How many total sessions will I need?

That is decided collaboratively as we work together for a few weeks.

What systems do you use in your online therapy?

I use professional zoom, which is an encrypted conference video tool.
